Well done to 28 children from Year 5 and 6 who took part in a Bike Ability course over 2 days this week organized by Go Velo. On Day 1 (Monday) the children spent time on the MUGA learning the key basics for how to ride a bike safely and also learnt the correct signs/signals to use when riding on the road. On Day 2 (Tuesday), some of the children then learnt how to ride safely on the roads local to school whilst some of the children continued learning how to ride a bike safely – working on balance on the MUGA. Fiona taught the children some playground games to ensure all the younger children in the school are kept active and busy at break and dinner times. These children will now be looking to organize games each break time and will also be in charge of keeping all sports equipment safe on a daily basis.
