Year 5 news

On the last day of term we traditionally hold a Non-Uniform Day. To celebrate the day together during the coronavirus lockdown we decided to do a "Uniform Day". Children at home and in school wore uniform for the day and used a specially-created virtual photo booth on the school website ...
Happy Friday everyone! Today at 9.45am we'll be holding Friday assembly's celebration awards on the website at www.gisburnroad.com The time is just after PE with Joe Wicks finishes and before you start activities at 10am. We look forward to seeing you there and revealing this week's stars and warriors!  
Well done to this team of Year 5/6 children who reached the semi finals tonight of the Pendle Schools Football Festival at Fisher More High School and in the process finished in 3rd place out of the 16 schools in attendance. Some great teamwork shown! ⚽️

Year 5 are on their way back, a bit muddier, a bit more tired than when we set off but definitely braver! We aim to be back for 3:20. See you then!
Year 5 had a fantastic Gymnastics lesson this morning with Pendle Gymnastics Club looking at balancing, jumping and rolling. The children have made huge progress over their 4 lessons with the Gymnastics Club.
