We are very proud of our children who wanted to share the cakes from our Macmillan coffee afternoon with residents at Cravenside. Friends of Cravenside #wecare #community #friendship #kindness
THANKYOU & Well done to everyone! We have raised just over £300 so far! There is still time to donate using the text code below. A huge Thankyou to Friends Of Gisburn Road for organising and running the afternoon. More pictures will follow next week! 🎉🧁
Year 5 had a very interesting day learning all about the Anglo Saxons. We found out about who the Anglo Saxons were, the clothes, had a go at games they played and tried on some of the weaponry and armour.
We are kindly asking for donations of cake for tomorrow. All cake will be sold at the Macmillan Coffee afternoon at 2:30 tomorrow and proceeds will go to the charity. Thank you 😊
Well done to the Year 3/4 Foot Golf team who had a fantastic time tonight at Fisher More in the Foot Golf Festival. Lots of fun had by everyone involved and they also recorded some great scores – including 2 hole in ones! ⚽️⛳️
Year 1 and 2 have had a great morning in PE doing Cricket with Joe Scuderi from Lancashire County Cricket Club. Today the children learnt how to bowl correctly. Looking at keeping their arm nice and straight and keeping it accurate. 🏏
Year 1 loved having parents visit us in class yesterday afternoon. All of the children created some fantastic family trees and were able to tell me who was in their family and who was the oldest and youngest. An excellent afternoon! Thank you to all parents who came in to work with us. 🙂
A quick reminder….. Come to our MacMillan coffee afternoon this Friday (27th Sep) in the school hall at 2:30pm. Your child(ren) are welcome to come out of class to join you for a drink and cake! 😃 🧁 We are kindly asking for donations of cake, which can be brought in any time on Friday…
In Year 2’s quest to find out about life 100 years ago, the children tried using slates. They really enjoyed using them, but Mr. Browne is not sure if he would like to take 30 slates home to mark.
