Dear Parents / Carers,

As you will be aware, the Government may take the step of closing schools to the vast majority of pupils in order to help to stem the spread of
Covid-19 (Coronavirus). This may be done at extremely short notice and we have been working hard to make plans that ensure the pupils can still take part in meaningful learning activities in line with Government Guidance.

To this ends, it may mean school will be open from 9am – 3.15pm for key worker and vulnerable pupils only.

There will be teachers managing online learning and teaching assistants running in school learning, under direction of the class teacher.

In order to help us plan further and if you are a key worker, your child can attend school if alternative arrangements cannot be made. Remember, if it is at all possible for children to be at home, then they should be.

ARE YOU A KEY WORKER?

NO

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this incredibly difficult and uncertain time. Your support is greatly valued.

If you have any further queries, or would like anything to be explained in more depth, please contact us on 01282-812287 or office@gisburnroad.lancs.sch.uk
All procedures for limiting the entry to school will still apply as will the self-isolating guidance from Public Health England. If your family are currently self-isolating, we will not expect your child in school until this period ends.

Yours Sincerely,

NWalker.
