Comic Relief – Red Nose Day – Friday 19 March 2021
Dear Parents / Carers,
Next week, Friday 19 March, is Comic Relief! This year’s theme is ‘Making people smile!’ and we are all about that at Gisburn Road! 😄
We are going to join in the fundraising at school by asking the children to dress as brightly as possible for the day! The brighter, more-mismatched items of clothing the better! Bright coloured hair, nails and accessories (only stud earrings though please) are all allowed too! This will definitely brighten up the school day and make us all smile 😄
We are also asking the children to ‘wear’ their favourite joke! Your child will come home with a red nose day paper sheet to write their joke on and then, somehow, wear! The children will get to share their joke at school. This is sure to make everyone smile 😄
The children will also be doing lots of fun activities in class and we will share those photos with you on our school Facebook page and the website.
Mrs Keatings has set up a donation tab on ParentPay which will be accessible from Monday 15th March and we are kindly asking for a contribution of £1 per child. Unfortunately, this year, we will not be selling merchandise and we do ask that any red noses brought in to school are not to be shared with their friends (yes – this does usually happen! 😄) to prevent the risk of virus transmission.
