Year 3 and Year 4 wowed the rest of the school today with their dress rehearsal of ‘Dragon Days’. Parents, you are in for a treat tomorrow!
Year 3 swimming starts tomorrow. Below is a copy of the letter Mr. Bradshaw sent out. Swimming starts early that originally planned due to Mr B kindly negotiating an extra week for Year 3 at West Craven Leisure. 😊
Over the past few weeks, children from Year 3 to Year 6 have been learning how to paint landscapes in our after school art club with Mrs. Baptie. The children have learnt how to plan a landscape drawing, and then develop this into a painting. We feel the results are absolutely stunning!
Year 3 enjoyed their final Taekwondo lesson this morning in PE. They have learnt lots over the past 6 weeks and become much more confident. Also, a huge thank you to Phil from Taekwondo School of Excellence for giving our children a wider range of sports. They have loved having you in!
Well done Year 3 for their planting contribution when they were in Year 2 that helped Barnoldswick win a gold medal in the North West in Bloom competition and a silver award in the National Britain in Bloom 2017 competition. A team of Year 3/4 children enjoyed learning how to play Basketball tonight at West Craven. They all did brilliant! 🏀
Year 3 loved their PE lesson on Taekwondo today with Phil from Taekwondo School of Excellence. The children had a go at wearing the helmets and gloves for the first time and showed lots of enthusiasm towards this.
Year 3 enjoying their second Taekwondo lesson this morning. The children continued to learn different stances and guards before putting their hard work into action on the pads.
Year 3 enjoyed their first PE lesson on Taekwondo this morning with Phil from Taekwondo School of Excellence. This will now run for 6 weeks every Friday. The children learnt some basic line work, guards and patterns. Well done Year 3.
The Year 3/4 Football team enjoyed their first ever match tonight. Despite horrendous conditions, the boys showed a lot of determination against a very, very strong Sacred Heart team. Well done boys!
