The children from Year 1 and 2 had a super afternoon at a KS1 Sports Day held by Church School. They all enjoyed the different activities and put in 100% effort in each event. We walked away in bronze position. Thank you to Church School and their Year 6 children for a brilliant afternoon. 🥉🏆

Big thanks to Ross from Lancashire County Cricket Club for doing an afternoon of All Stars Cricket fun games with Year 1&2. All the children had a very enjoyable afternoon learning the key skills for cricket. Remember if your child wants to start cricket, Barnoldswick Cricket Club will be starting the All Stars cricket programme next Friday at their ground from 5:30-6:30pm.

Huge thanks to Phil Downing from Taekwondo School of Excellence for his Taster Day today working with Reception, Year 1, 2, 3 and 5. Phil taught the children lots of new skills throughout their lesson. In Science this half term Year 1 have been learning about plants. We have been investigating at our Science table and thinking about the different parts of plants. We will also be writing instructions on how to plant next week in our English lesson.
