Nursery, Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 pupils have all been involved in making scarecrows for Broughton Estate Children’s Literature Festival. The festival takes place in the estate grounds on 28-30th September and promises to be a truly SPECTACULAR weekend. We look forward to seeing the children’s scarecrows in situ on the estate grounds. They all look simply stunning!
Nursery have been working hard creating an alien from the book ‘Aliens love underpants’ for the book character scarecrow trail at Broughton Hall Estate.
Nursery have been busy exploring how plants grow and what they need to be healthy. We then planted beans, sweet peas and herbs. The children have been carefully caring for their plants by watering them and making sure they have enough sunlight. As the plants grow we will be measuring and recording how tall they grow.
We feel the children that stay all day at Nursery are now ready to eat in the dining hall. Therefore, from Monday 30th April, we will be taking the children down to the Junior dining hall to have their dinner.
We have a few places left for a September start in our Nursery. We now offer a variety of sessions as well as before and after school care. If you would like to find out more, contact the school office, speak to Mrs Kitson and arrange a viewing. We would love to show you around! #teamgisburnroad #journeytooutstanding!
As you are aware Miss Hall is finishing her post as Nursery Teacher this Friday, to pursue a career teaching in Kuwait! We wish her all the very best.
There’s lots of excitement at Gisburn Road Nursery School this morning and that’s before the children even get here! I wonder how the children will react 😊 🐥
Nursery are very excited about our new visitors this afternoon!! We are learning all about the chick life cycle. We are going to see what happens next 🐣 keep asking your child for updates!
