A group of children from Year 5 & 6 had a great time this afternoon learning how to become a football referee on the MUGA.
The children learnt what a referee wears during games, what they need to remember, the correct hand gestures, how to use a whistle and also how to use the flags as a referees assistant before putting all that they had learnt in to practice by refereeing the game whilst the rest of the children played a match. The children also learnt a lot about respecting the referee and why the referee is extremely important for a game of sport to be played correctly.
Also, a big thanks to the Lancashire Football Association for running the course. ⚽️
