Year 6 visit to Whitehough Outdoor Activity Centre

Dear Parents/Carers,

Year 6 will be visiting Whitehough Outdoor Activity Centre for an extended day (9am-9pm) where they will take part in lots of different activities including: high ropes, low ropes, den building, problem solving, archery, leap of faith, Jacob’s ladder – just to name a few!

The visit will take place outside and therefore your child will need appropriate clothing for the weather conditions on that day. Food (lunch, dinner and snacks) is provided by the centre and is included in the cost. Your child will need to bring a drink (not fizzy).

The visit will take place on Friday 9 July. We will be leaving school at 8:20am and will return to school by 9:30pm. We will be travelling on the school minibus and in teacher/volunteer cars.  Whitehough is part of ‘Burnley in the Community’ and therefore, as a Pendle school, the cost of the trip has been subsidised from £50 down to £30 per child.  Therefore the cost of this trip will be £30 per child. I kindly ask that this is paid on ParentPay as soon as possible, and before Friday 2 July 2021. Full risk assessments have been completed, including a Covid-19 Risk assessment, and are available for you to read should you wish to do so.

Your child will not require any spending money.
